SUPERNOVAS

A bright vision and tasteful tactics for a brand transforming wasteful plastics.

IOIA connected inspirational research, art direction and creative production to provide a punchy visual strategy and a suite of striking lifestyle images for a plucky plastic furniture start-up.

Stepping into the realm of Supernovas, we embraced the founder's vision—a circular model for flexible furniture consumption using 100% recycled, 100% recyclable products. While the items were impeccably designed, conveying their essence to design-savvy customers posed a challenge, and that's where IOIA stepped in.

Taking a reflective pause, we explored the competitive market,  navigated the creative landscape, and unearthed the brand's creative potential. The result? An aspirational visual strategy that matched the ambition of Supernovas' business model.  

Our approach involved a location photoshoot set in a design-savvy millennial's home, showcasing the adaptability of Supernovas' products with intentionally ambiguous, yet aspirational spaces and styling. The photography, fixing everyday moments in time with a bold flash, infused fresh positivity into a world of washed-out sustainability campaigns. 

Though initially tasked with product photography, our approach expanded to include a visual strategy and a rich range of lifestyle images. This fulfilled the original brief and provided the direction and tools to announce the brand at launch and beyond.
